New collaboration with Good Chemistry Brewing gives us the Galli Pale Ale on tap – ‘In Our Nature’

It’s hard not to notice this about Bristol, but there’s a tangible amount of collaboration in the air and when the opportunity arose to not only buy some of Good Chemistry Brewing’s beers for The Galli, but to actually work with them to come up with our own pale ale exclusively available here on tap, we couldn’t say yes quick enough.
Bob and Kelly from the BS2-based brewery, which has only been going about a year and a half but is already a firm favourite and one of a number of incredible breweries across the city, have both lived this way for years.  So we’re even more chuffed that as part of the Gloucester Road community themselves that they were keen to lend us their skills and make us a beer for our neck of the woods. Basically right from the off, we knew that coming up with an easy drinking beer for sunny days out the front of The Galli was a brief that we could all visualise!
We had a couple of meetings with them to talk about the flavours that we wanted to get from our own beer, and then brewer Bob in his cleverness came up with the malt and hops combination to get to that taste.
So what we now have thanks to Good Chemistry Brewing, from 5pm on Tuesday 18th April is a brand new, brewed in Bristol, exclusive to us, 4%, light, easy-drinking draught pale ale called ‘In Our Nature’. It has some sweetness and some malt flavour, and the hop combination used provides a citrus, orangey, tropical taste. And it’s a vegan beer too. The pump clips are hand painted by the talented Hannah Sunny Whaler and Dave Bain (the bird you will see featured is his mural character).
*Science bit – they used a mixture of three hops – Ahtanum, Cascade and El Dorado giving us the tropical vibes we were looking for.
The first casks of ‘In Our Nature’ will be arriving at The Galli this week so they are ready for you to try next Tuesday. We hope that people will fall in love with our new beer. Especially on a sunny day.
To top it all off, we are throwing a one-off Beer and Food Dinner on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, five courses from The Galli kitchen paired with Good Chemistry Beers – one of which is ‘In Our Nature’ so you get to be among the first to try it. Tickets are £30 per person but they are limited in number though so drop us an email via info@thegallimaufry.co.uk to book – get in quick! And please, let us know what you think of our new arrival…
