Phil the Print (SEMPER) and Deems (Deems experiment) have been friends, colleagues, and rivals for almost half a decade now. As two of the local contemporary jazz scenes’ foremost keyboardists they will be familiar faces to friends of the Gallimaufry who may recognise them from their respective bands.

For one night only, however, they will join forces, sans bands, combining their powers to for an evening of unadulterated improvised music. With wide influences between them from the jazz, classical, and avant-garde spheres, the music they will create is likely to be varied and exciting. Expect challenging sounds and clashing harmonies amongst moments of meditative space and driving grooves.
